I wrote last week of how 1 particular elder came to our stake general priesthood meeting. Today his father (who was the former elders quorum president) stopped me in the hall and said, “Did you notice that Kevin came to priesthood meeting last week? The only reason he came was because you guys went to his house and personally invited him.” So I guess it was true. Again it made me feel good.

This morning as we were getting ready for church, I put Gehrig in the shower. He then said, “Daddy?”

“Yeah.”

“I love you.”

“I love you too Gehrig.”

“Can I sing you a song?”

“You want to sing me a song?”

“Yeah.”

“Sure, go ahead.”

“Pressing Forward, Pressing Forward…”

I really had no idea he knew any part of Called to Serve. But I thought it was cute and quite ironic since I had been preparing a sacrament talk on the subject of great modern day missionaries.
