Nolan Turns One

Today was Nolan’s first birthday. We were going to have a party tonight, but no one could make it so we rescheduled for Saturday morning. I was frustrated working today. I’ve been trying to learn Django and Python – new programming language and framework. But it seems just as it starts to make sense, I get side-tracked on some other project then I come back and start from scratch and the framework also gets updated so I have to fix existing code. Gehrig’s Blessing

Gehrig is starting preschool tomorrow (or as he corrected me today, “three schools”) He has been very excited. I gave him a father’s blessing tonight. He really enjoys them. It is one of the rare times he sits still and folds his arms. It was a very nice experience.

Children’s Music

We were listening to Primary songs in the car on the way to and from Nani & Pops’ house tonight. We found Gehrig really likes listening to songs that kids sing. We could hear him trying to sing along to songs he didn’t even know. It was cute.

Grateful for the Train

We went to the zoo today. It was fun. Gracie took a lot of photos with our camera. The last thing we did before leaving was to write the train. Tonight as we were saying our family prayers, Rachel said, “We are thankful we could go to the zoo and have fun as a family.” We then heard Gehrig whisper, “… and say the train!”
