Tonight as I was pondering where I have seen the hand of the Lord in our family today, I started singing the song “Count Your Many Blessings” in my head. So I decided to count my blessing. I got to number 1 and thought of what I would write about: I have a warm house. It has just started to get cold enough outside that this morning we finally turned on our heater for the first time. It was a simple as flipping a switch and soon our house was warmed to a very comfortable temperature. Better than that, we put in a new furnace and air conditioner a couple years ago, and with it, they installed a digital thermostat. It allows us to program what we want the temperature to be at certain times of the day and on specific days. So I can have it be cooler while we are sleeping, then have it kick the temperature up a few degrees before it is time to get out of bed making it easier to get up. What a blessing!
