For family night we had a budget meeting. Since we are looking at new home and figuring we may be adding another $500 to our monthly mortgage payment, we ought to see what needs to be adjusted now to prepare for it, because it sure doesn’t feel like we would be able to afford it.

After going over all our budget items, and adding $500 to our mortgage, we still had $400 left over! That begged the question, “where is it all going now?” I can guess the answer. It is generally groceries and miscellaneous stuff. That has been our weekness. We put together a plan to keep better track of our grocery spending to see if we can cut back a little.
