Getting Closer

Wow, we got a lot done today. We are getting closer to feeling settled in I think. Tonight I put in a food disposal, two light fixtures, did some painting, put our new bed and two night stands together. I got a call from Bryan (my first counselor in the Elders Quorum). It was about 9:45 and he had just gotten out of welfare meeting that started at 7:00. He said, “wow, I don’t know how you did that every month!” It was funny...

More Help from Family

Rachel’s parents and brother came over tonight. Her mom made us riggatoni for dinner where her dad and brother installed our dishwasher and ran a water line to our fridge. I was in Salt Lake picking up some bedroom furniture that had arrived at Wal-Mart. It is so nice to have helpful family.

Back to Work

It actually felt good to go back to work this morning and not worry about unpacking and fixing stuff all day. I did hand a lot of curtain rods, frames, and shelves though. But mostly I sat at my desk at worked on the computer all day. It just helps me feel I am getting back into a routine and things can normalize soon. It has been hectic for sure.

Lot’s of Family Day

We went to church at Alex’s (my little sister) ward this morning. Her daughter, London, was blessed. Afterwards we went to Harvey (my mom’s fiance) spa store for a luncheon. The kids sure had fun. There was a fountain in the middle of the stores where they played most of the time and got all wet. It was fun to see all my family. Still Settling In

It was another long busy day in our new home. We did go grocery shopping first thing in the morning so we could have something to eat at least. We made a lot of progress in cleaning and organizing, but still it is hard to tell because it feels like we still have so much to do. I can’t believe how much stuff we accumulated in our old house.
