I found out last week that I do actually have a home teaching assignment now (I never asked because I didn’t want to press the issue ;). I think my companion just had back surgury or something. I tried calling but there was no answer, so I took Gehrig with me to see one of our families (the elders quorum president actually). Shortly after we arrived my companion showed up (I think to get or give some recipe ingredient that someone needed). So we met and it worked out well. I basically shared the Joseph Smith story on a 5 year old level. Before we left, I was asked to assist in giving a blessing. It was nice. It’s been a few months since I have participated in a blessing.
