I got a knock on the door at 7 AM this morning. It was Bishop Payne. He came to ask for some help setting up a grill for the ward breakfast. It is a tradition in this area for the bishopric to cook a breakfast for the ward on the 4th of July. It was a really nice event. The boy scouts did a flag ceremony. There was a song and a couple of other performances. It had a really nice small town feel that I love so much. Unfortunately during the event Nolan had an accident. He fell off a swing set and bit through his lip. It looked really bad. There was lots of blood coming from the wound. We decided to take him to the Instacare to be safe. The Instacare was closed so instead we took him to the ER at American Fork Hospital. They didn’t need to do anything. They said it should heal fine. He was OK really and had calmed down by the time we got there. He’s had a pretty fat lip all day though.

After cleaning up the breakfast area I drove into Salt Lake and took a gift and card to my mom for her birthday and visited for a short while. We spend the rest of the day at Rachel’s parents’ house – mostly swimming and eating. It was a fun day.
