First Day on the New Job

I started my first day on the job today. Overall it was good. My co-workers seemed like nice guys and fun to work with. I forgot my lunch but it wasn’t that bad because they have chips, granola bars, cup-o-noodles, etc. that are free for us all day. It’s quite nice actually. I’m looking forward to actually doing something productive though!

Sold Truck Today

I sold my truck today. A girl drove here from Heber with her dad. They were able to talk me down to $4200. I had it listed for $4500. I just wanted to get it sold so I could start shopping for a car. Tomorrow I start my new job. I have to admit, I am getting a little nervous. I think the hardest part is going it as the new guy when I’ve been basically at the top of MSC for some time now.

Day in the Office

I went in to the office today. I helped interview some guys that were potentially my replacement. It was slim pickings on such short notice, but I think one of the guys we interviewed might be up to the task. He just seemed pretty anti-social so I don’t know how he would do when he has to jump on support calls. The main reason I went in was to pick up my paycheck. Tomorrow is my last day with MSC. Father’s Blessings

Tonight for family home evening we talked about the priesthood – what it is and how it is used. We finished the lesson by talking about father’s blessings. Gehrig was very excited to receive a blessing as he usually is, but Gracie was very nervous, which I still haven’t figured out why. We finally did convince her to receive a blessing. Feeling at Home

I noticed today that I’m finally starting to feel a real part of the ward. Yes everyone was very welcoming, but still it takes some time to get to know people and remember names and faces to start to feel a part of the ward – at least for me. Today I got that feeling – that I was really a member of this ward and I have some real relationships already. It’s such a nice, peaceful feeling to have.
