We placed an offer on a house today. Our offer was for $350,000 on a house worth probably about $425,000. It is going into foreclosure on June 11th.

The house is great. It’s 4500 square feet on a 0.8 acre lot. Honestly, I’m a nervous about getting it. Our payment will likely go up about $500 per month. I just don’t know where that will come from at this point. It already feels like we have every dollar stretched to the max.

Yet all that said, I think we can sacrafice a bit more and in the back of my mind I feel we can pull this off.

But, if we don’t get the house I suppose it’s a moot point. Someone else has placed an offer for $370,000 but with a number of stipulations. Thanks to Rachels parents, we are putting up a cash offer. I guess we hope that the bank will just want to take the cash rather than work with the stipulations or take chances at a foreclosure.

We also got word back that the poeople who looked at our house on Saturday were very interested. We also got a call tonight letting us know that someone wants to look at the house tomorrow.
