I went to the temple this morning. I have a goal to go at least 50 times this year. That is once per week. I missed last week because I was sick.

We have started having "special nights" with the kids. Once a month Rachel or I will take a child out to spend one on one time. Tonight it was Nolan’s turn with me. We went to Wendy’s for dinner (his choice) then went to Wal-Mart so he could use his Christmas money from Grandma Wendy to buy a pillow pet. He was so excited for the pillow pet. He carried it proudly with a big smile on his face.

We let the kids stay up late tonight because there was a BYU basketball game at 8 p.m. Normally we don’t watch BYU basketball, but this was a huge game. BYU is ranked #9 with only one loss and they played San Diego State who is ranked #4 and one of only 2 teams still undefeated.

Gehrig was so excited he cheered for every point. You could tell he was getting tired during the second half though because he stopped cheering. He didn’t quite make it. He fell asleep with 2 minutes left in the game.

It really was a great game. The lead either way was never more than 4 until the end when BYU ran away with it. They won 71 to 58. Jimmer Freddette was amazing. He had 43 points. It is the 3rd time in 4 games he has scored over 40 points. He was the number #1 story on Sports Center. They even interviewed him live via phone. In the interview they said that Kevin Durant just said on twitter that "Jimmer Freddette is the best scorer in the world!!" Ironically Durant had 47 points tonight is probably the best scorer in the world at the moment. But is crazy to see how popular Jimmer is right now. He’s trending on twitter because so many people are talking about him.
