We spend the day in Roosevelt at the Brighton Reunion. It’s a nice tradition and the kids always have a lot of fun. We got home around 6:30 and got bathed & relaxed a bit.

I’m sleeping in a tent right now with Gehrig and Nolan. Gracie is sleeping under the stars with cousins. Rachel is with Murphy at my parents house. We are at the annual Brighton reunion. It’s always a fun time. The kids love it. It’s cool that I can post this to my journal blog from my iPhone.

I played ultimate frisbee duing lunch today. It’s been a while since I’ve played. I’ve been so busy at work recently that I haven’t bothered getting out. I think I feel better when I’m exercising and it its always easier to exercise when I’m playing a competative sport. Plus, its always good to see old friends from when I worked at 3M.

I went to the temple this morning and did initiatories. It’s nice to be so close to the temple. I generally get up at 4:30 and get to the temple by 5:30 so I can be one of the first when sessions start at 6:00 am. I also went hoping to get an answer to prayer about whether I should apply for a particular job closer to home. Oddly enough, the job posting was no longer listed today, so maybe that was my answer.

Tonight we were watching wipeout and one of the contestants gave up and quit in the final round. Gehrig and Gracie were watching and I explained that you should never quit and give up no matter how tired you get. Gehrig said, “yeah, like Lou Gehrig!”. I thought it was cute because that is something we have always tried to teach him about his namesake.
