Pain Summary
Lower Back: 6

It feels like this is becoming my “money problems” journal more than anything. Yesterday when I got home from work I got a call from Rob Lusk saying that the master bedroom in our old house is leaking water into the garage.

The problem is that they have so much junk in their garage that they never go in there. I went over to look at it and noticed that it was moldy and it has been going on for quite a while. The other bathroom is also leaking.

I’ve learned my lesson with plumbing – always hire a plumber. We have already spent so much money on that house because of water damage and it looks like we will be paying a lot more. I’m afraid the bathrooms that we remodeled will have to be torn up to get to the plumbing. Rachel’s aunt helped us with the plumbing and there were some leaking problems with the master bath that I remember and I’m afraid we didn’t get it fixed.

On top of that, the deck in the back yard is all rotted out and falling apart. It was badly designed. There is a slight hill in the back yard and it all slopes to that deck. I think we are just going to have to tear out all the wood and put in cement. Perhaps patio pavers might be a cheaper alternative – we’ll have to see. Either way, I think its a bad idea to redo it with wood again.

The lawn in the back yard was pretty much completely dead. The sprinklers are not working and one of the sprinkler boxes is leaking a lot of water. MORE WATER PROBLEMS! It looks like a wasteland back there. We are going to have to put a lot of work into that house to get it sold this summer. I’m really looking forward to getting rid of it!

My back is flaring up and getting worse and I’m sure it is all these money problems. I think it’s time to round up all the funds I can find and shore up my checking account and get on a serious budget again.
