Since moving to a bigger house with a 3/4 acre lot, mowing the lawn has been pretty time consuming. The first time I mowed was with our walk behind mower and it took me three hours. My boss gave me a $100 gift card to Mimi’s cafe this morning. He just wanted to say thanks for the work I have been doing and wanted to know he notices and appreciates it. It was a nice thing to receive.

We got our temple recommends renewed today after church. It is always nice to get that done and to do it together. When we got home I started making snickerdoodles. I didn’t get far before Rachel took over. It’s a good thing too because I had already messed up. We made a big batch the went for a walk as a family and delivered some to my home teaching families. We spend the day in Roosevelt at the Brighton Reunion. It’s a nice tradition and the kids always have a lot of fun. We got home around 6:30 and got bathed & relaxed a bit.

I’m sleeping in a tent right now with Gehrig and Nolan. Gracie is sleeping under the stars with cousins. Rachel is with Murphy at my parents house. We are at the annual Brighton reunion. It’s always a fun time. The kids love it. It’s cool that I can post this to my journal blog from my iPhone.

I played ultimate frisbee duing lunch today. It’s been a while since I’ve played. I’ve been so busy at work recently that I haven’t bothered getting out. I think I feel better when I’m exercising and it its always easier to exercise when I’m playing a competative sport. Plus, its always good to see old friends from when I worked at 3M.
