Rachel played church softball tonight and pulled both of her quads during her first attempt to run. She couldn’t get out of the car by herself. Leslie came over and helped me get her in the house and helped with the kids for a while.

I had lunch with Aaron at Red Maple today. We are the only ones in the office that like that place. I think it is great chinese food. It’s very filling at only cost $6.50. You get egg drop soup, green salad, noodles, ham fried rice, wontons, and your main course. It’s also allowed me to get to know Aaron well and he’s become a good friend, despite not having all that much in common. We probably eat there twice a month.

The kids had their first day of school today. We found out that Gehrig was in the wrong class and met the wrong teachers yesterday. Fortunately he was OK with it and still have a fun day.

Tonight we were discussing school that will be starting this week. Gehrig said he was so excited that he gets to be at school all day. I’m glad our kids like school.

After cleaning the house up we decided to get pizza and eat it at a park in order to keep the kitchen clean. The kids had a lot of fun. It rained off and on. At one point lightning struck very close. It hit the hill right above our house and started a small brush fire! Luckily it seemed to die out on its own.

We had a BBQ during lunch today. Most of the company is in las Vegas at the convention. It was funner that I expected it to be. I do enjoy the guys I work with a lot.

After work I played in two softball games with Cade. It was a lot of fun. My first time up I hit one that hit the fence. I ended up getting an inside the park home run. Later I hit another one that hit the bottom of the fence and got a triple. Finally, my last at bat I hit one so hight that I thought I popped up. I was sort of jogging around the bases just in case.
