Today was a relaxing day. After church we watched a couple of movies together. The kids were good at church – except for Nolan who was tired and ornery. It was really quite an uneventful day. I changed 5 light fixtures today: 1) ceiling fan in the living room, 2) large chandelier in the entry, 3&4) Outside lights in each side of the garage, 5) outside light at the frong door. It made for a fairly long day. It was a nice upgrade to our house though. Rachel was especially excited.

We finally had Gehrig’s pictures taken for his four year birthday. It’s become a tradition to get photos taken every year on their birthday. I’m guessing it will change when they get into school and have school photos taken every year. It’s a nice tradition. We have each of their pictures framed on a table in the living room. I’m glad Rachel stays on top of it. I really think it helps the kids’ self esteem...

For the past 7 years or so Ive been playing ultimate frisbee with friends and former coworkers from 3M. Today my mom needed some help at Harveys store with some Internet access issues. So I decided to go around lunchtime and play with that group. It was fun to see everyone again.

The past few weeks my mornings have been spent working on my new budget program. It initially started with my friend Keith asked if I could help him learn some of the stuff that I do on the side. I suggested we write a budget application that had been in my head for a while. Then I went to work on creating it. The weather is perfect right now. After work I went out on the patio and cooked some hot dogs. It was a simple meal, but the best part was just being outside on the deck with nice weather and a beautiful view of the snow capped mountains all around.

We went to Gracie’s school today for an assembly. She got an award for “academic excellence”. She was pretty excited about it. It was very cute. While we were there. As they were reading the first group of award recepients, Gehrig heard them say the name Carsen. He yelled out excited, “Gracie!
