Today was certainly a positive day. For starters, I sold my car. Yesterday I listed it for $3500. I purchased it just over a month ago for $2700. After taxes and registration fees I got a loan for $3160.80. I negotiated the sale to $3200. so pretty much it was a wash for me, but I was lucky no to lose anything. Well, I probably lost about $100 because I had another key made and purchased a remote entry control. So all in all, it really wasn’t bad. The couple that bought it seemed really friendly and I think it was a good deal all the way around.

On top of that, I had to have Jim Knaphus sign a paper because of an error on the title. He was very cooperative with meeting with me and getting it taken care of. Now I just need to do safety and emissions testing on it and get it registered and I’m good to go – finally!

Rachel had a “time-out for moms” get together at our house tonight. So I took the kids out. I didn’t have much of a plan except that we needed to eat somewhere. But I didn’t think I could occupy a whole hour just eating somewhere. So I asked the kids if they wanted to go see our old house. They did. It was fun to see and remember. Actually it really seemed so long ago that we lived there. Gracie said she remembers the house, but I don’t know if she really does or not. After seeing our house I drove past Doug and Tiffany’s house. Doug was really my best friend while living there. We were also home teaching companions. I felt I should drop in and say hello. I finally made the decision to do so and I’m glad I did. It was fun to chat with them. Doug was in a tie. He was ready to leave to go to Primary Children’s Hospital to give a blessing to a young girl who has spina bifida that ironically we used to home teach and take the sacrament to regularly. He is the Elders Quorum president of his ward, which I think is just awesome. As soon as he left I talked with Tiffany just a little longer as I tried to round up the kids. We then went to Arctic Circle to eat and the kids played on their indoor playground for a while before we returned home to go to bed.
