Date Night

After butting heads a bit this morning I decided Rachel needed some quality time. I called my mom on very short notice and asked if she could babysit. She arranged to come over after work, and even gave me some money for the date for my belated birthday present. We ordered take out from Cafe Rio and went to the Dark Knight (Batman). Pasta Plant Service

I only worked 1/2 day today. I volunteered to help at the church pasta plant this afternoon from 1:00. It was very much like the last time I went there. We we put on the Lasagna assembly line. I was responsible for folding boxes, taping boxes, stamping dates and stacking them on pallets. It was probably the slowest job though, so I stared wondering looking for help. Magnifying Callings

We had an elders quorum presidency meeting tonight. Brother Hackett came as I asked and shared a message about the oath amp; covenant of the priesthood and magnifying our callings. I thought it was a really uplifting experience. I think it fired us up to do more to fulfill our callings.

Pulling Weeds

This evening I was out in the yard pulling weeds. I recruited Gracie and Gehrig to help me. Rachel went and got some pizza from Little Caesars. When she got back Gracie didn’t want to go in and eat. She said she just wanted to stay outside and pull weeds with me. Tonight as we wrote in our gratitude journal, Gehrig said he was thankful that he could pull weeds. Money & Freelance

Recently we have had a number of things come up that have put us back into debt (dental bills, medical bills, new carpet (spilled paint all over our carpet), the whole truck situation, truck repairs…) Anyway, it has exhausted our emergency fund and put us about $1500 into debt.
