Today was a great day.

This morning I went up stairs to get a drink or something, I can’t quite remember. I noticed an envelope on the living room floor. It was open, but the letter wasn’t taken out. Either Gracie or Gehrig (I’m guessing Gehrig) had drawn all over the envelope with pencil. I noticed it was from Citi Mortgage – the last owner of our mortgage on our old house. I was surprised to find that it was a check for our escrow money left over when we closed and it was for over $1800 dollars? I showed it to Rachel and she said, “Oops! I just thought it was another credit card application.” Last night I wrote about opportunities to earn some extra money and get out of debt. This was going to help A LOT.

Rachel and I drove into American Fork with the boys to deposit the check, plus a few other church reimbursement checks we had recieved from our old ward. On the way home we stopped at a new juice place called Roxberry Juice (it’s much like Jamba Juice). When I got home I transferred over $1900 to our credit card. So now we have $700 left to pay off. That seems much easier. I’m thinking I can probably wipe it out if I get a good tax return.

I stopped working a half hour early today so we could go sledding. I don’t know that it helped much. By the time we got all the kids ready and in the car it was 5:00 and the sun was going down when we got to the sledding hill. That made it pretty cold. We had fun though. I put Nolan on my sled and he went down with me and laughed the whole way down.

After sledding we went out to eat at the Iceburg. It was delicious. I’m still full. It was funny though, while we were there we saw the couple that were working at Roxberry Juice come in with their family. I assume they own the franchise there or something.

When we got home we played Mario Kart on the Wii for a while. Wow, you would think it was family night tonight. It was a fun day all around.
