Today we had stake conference. I really tried not to compare, but I couldn’t help it. I really miss our former stake presidency. I suppose it is most likely because I knew them better, but I always found their talks more engaging, especially President Tindall. I really expect to see him as a generally authority one day. Just thinking about it makes me miss our old ward and stake so I try not too. The talks today were good and uplifting, but it still doesn’t feel like home yet. I’m sure that will change with time though.

On a lighter note, I saw Dale Murphy. He was my favorite baseball player for the years he played. That’s why I’m still a Braves fan today (though with some recent news, that may change…). I knew he was in our Stake so I kept an eye out for him. I saw him as we were leaving.

I have a bat with his autograph that my brother-in-law got for me for a Christmas present a fews years ago. Apparently, Dale Murphy home taught my brother-in-law’s aunt (she said the opening prayer today actually). I’m sure I sound like a little kid, but I still think it’s pretty cool.
