Bonus Opportunity

I am feeling so much better today! I’m sure Rachel enjoys being around me more as I am not nearly and dull and ornery. I had lunch today with Scott (our company president), Erik (new investor that bought into our company), and Ab (a salesman in our company). We discussed the new product I am working on. I’ve had to put it on hold a bit to work on an issue a new client is having. Erik offered me a $2000 bonus and a weekend stay at his his lodge in Cedar City if I would be willing to work overtime to get it done it two weeks. I accepted the offer so now I will be working my butt off trying to get it done. We could really use the extra money to pay for the deductible on our home owners insurance claim to fix all the water damage. If I get that bonus I can pay the deductible and finish paying off the rest of our debt, plus have a nice vacation!

  1. Congrats on the extra work and good luck! Why wasn’t Dan in on lunch? Are there any other developers working along with you now?

  2. Wow, a comment. I almost forget this is a public blog sometimes 🙂

I don’t know why he wasn’t there actually. I just assumed he was holding down the fort. Nope, I’ll still the lone programmer. I think they are interviewing for a .NET programmer. I’ve heard they were talking to a girl about it. My in-law’s neighbor was just laid off so he is going to submit his resume. He’s also a Windows developer.

C’mon Brandon, you know you want to come back! Come help me get this thing off the ground! 🙂

  3. LOL! Come back?! That’s funny. Let me turn this around. C’mon Dustin, you know you want to quit and abandon ship! 🙂

Remember, MTH was only making $1,500/month when I left. Now it’s making $10,000/month. And it’s only been a year and a half! If you’ve created something that has potential and you’re committed to making it succeed, I know you can do it.
