Since we have been conciously focusing on our budget and finances lately, things have “felt” tight. For example, Rachel has been wanted to do a few decorating things around the house but we’ve been putting them off until they made it up the priority latter. Today she was ready to just forget the budget and go buy! Fortunately, before we left we reviewed the budget and made a plan. Even thought things feel tight, I think we are doing pretty well considering how things used to be a few years back. I’ve also noticed that as we have focused on these things, we’ve had more money coming in from various places. I continue to get little checks here and there for stuff I’ve done online.

That’s not to say we are totally content to sit where we are at. We do have a list of things we would like to do – like fence in the back yard to keep Nolan in, replace our 9 year old TV, car repairs, home repairs, etc. But we are making sure we have the cash to do things things rather than just financing them.
