Close to the Temple

I’m grateful to have a temple close by. I can still remember going through the open house of the Mt. Timpanogos temple before leaving on my mission. It was going to be our new temple for Roosevelt, which is a good 3 hour drive, but then they announced the Vernal temple. I don’t think the thought ever crossed my mind then that I would live just 10 minutes away from it and be able to go each week.

Date Night

We had our next door neighbor come and baby sit tonight after the kids’ tball game. We went out to dinner at The Olive Garden. It was nice to have date night. It had been a while since we’ve gone to dinner by ourselves. It was so quiet on the way home driving in the car without kids! I love our kids, but sometimes it’s nice to have some alone time together.

Achieving Goals and Receiving Blessings

A while back I set a goal to read at least one conference talk each week. I’m maintained that goal since setting it. Babysitter Neighbor

We took a major step this morning. I called our next door neighbor who is 12 and asked if she could baby sit for us this week. We arranged for Thursday night. It is a week night and we have T-ball at 5:30, so it will have to be a short date – probably just dinner, but I’m looking forward to getting out! At the Pet Store

For family night we went to a couple of pet stores. Rachel feels the need to get Gracie a pet because she loves animals so much. I’m thinking a rabbit is the way to go – something that can live outside for the most part and not too high maintenance. We mainly looked at rabbits, guinea pigs, and turtles.
