It has been a while since I have written. It seems once you skip one day it is hard to get back into the habbit. But today, I feel too blessed not to write something. Today Murphy was born. He is #4. This whole pregnancy was different. Rachel and I were more relaxed. The pregnancy seemed to go by fast. We had a hard time deciding on his name (first it was Will, then Cal, the Murphy). We were much slower to get his nursury together. All in all, it was just different. He came today though and he was perfect. I just wanted to hold him and stare at him.

Laura helped with the kids today. She came over around 6:50 this morning as we had to be in the hopital at 7:30. She helped the kids get to school. Then she brought them over to see Murphy. Gehrig was the most excited. He has been the whole time. I think Murphy will look like him. He seems to have blonde hair and blue eyes as Gehrig did.

Nolan didn’t even want to get near him at first. It took a while but then he got to the point where he wanted to hold him (and poke him in the face repeatedly). Gracie really wanted a sister so she hasn’t been too excited. But when whe saw him today and got to hold him she didn’t want to give him up. She kept telling me how cute he is.

I left Rachel at 7:30 and picked the kids up from Nani’s house. When we pulled in the driveway Gehrig said, "I miss mommy!" It was cute.

One other thing I need to mention… We spent a lot of time confirming Gehrig knew what bus to get on to come home. Well, I got a call this afternoon from a secreatary at the school telling me that he had missed the bus. I called Laura and she went to pick him up. Apparently they didn’t let him on because he didn’t have some kind of wrist band. The whole thing seemed a bit ridiculous. Poor Gracie though. We had asked her to save a seat for him on the way home. When she got dropped off she was nearly in tears becaue Gehrig wasn’t with her and she was so worried about him. It all worked out though.

We are a blessed family.
