I worked from home this morning for half of the day. In the afternoon I had an appointed to get a cortisone epidural. I have to admit it was more painful than I thought it would be. There was so much pressure when he was injecting the cortisone and it shot pain down my whole leg. Afterwards my legs were pretty numb with was a weird sensation.

I got the feeling from the doctor that he didn’t think this treatment would do much for me and I got the feeling he thought it was bad enough to need microdiscectomy surgery. I’m really trying to stay optimistic, but I have to face the brutal fact that surgery might be in my future. I will keep trying though to get through this without surgery.
