It was a busy independance day. I got up early to be at the church at 7 am to help transport and set up chairs in the commoms area and then started to help make pancakes. There were lots of volunteers so I got to eat breakfast with the family, then I relieved Taylor and cooked pancakes. After chruch Rachel’s sisters & their families came over to play games and hang out. We played a few board games while the kids played Wii. It was really the first time we have "entertained" in our new house. It was roomy and fun.
I guess you could say my morning started while with a knock at the door. Ken was here bright and early to get started on the door. We got so much done today! Here is what we got done: painted front door, cleaned garage, fixed garage door opener, programmed car garage door opener, tilled garden, sprayed lawn for weeds, sanded entertainment center cabinets, painted cabinets, stripped old paint off of garage door trim, taped & painted trim,...
When I got home from work I started sanding our front door some more. Ken came over to help us paint it. He bought a new spray gun that is really nice. He put primer on tonight. We will apply the paint tomorrow.
I made CDs for the kids that has all the articles of faith songs on them. I gave them to Gracie & Gehrig on Monday. Tonight as Gehrig was laying in bed he was listening to and singing along with the songs. He told me he has them all memorized except for 10 & 11.
Today we had two guys in our office that came from ByDesign to help resolve many of the issues I experience while writing the new signup process. It was nice to sit in meetings with them and feel important. Gracie’s last little league softball game was tonight. I think she had fun this year and improved a bit. We had fun watching the game tonight.
