My Dad drove out to Salt Lake and took me to a Bees game to celebrate my birthday. It was a very fun and relaxing evening. As far as the game it was a blow-out 10-5. The game ended at around 9:45. I offered to have my dad stay at our house but he decided to drive home. That is quite the drive for a night out at a ball game!

Last night was a long night. We have gotten into the happen in laying down with Nolan to get him to sleep. It is mostly because we are too tired to do anything else. Or, he will sneak into our bed in the middle of the night and we will be too tired to put him back. Last night we didn’t lay down with him at all. We put him to bed and spent about an house standing by his door and putting him back in bed every time he got out – which was...
After the block meetings Rachel and I stayed after to get our recommends for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedication on August 23rd. Gehrig was unbearably ornery. He kept crying and yelling, "I want to go home!" Rachel was frustrated because she get really embarrassed when our kids misbehave like that. It didn’t help with some of the looks we were getting from some older sisters in the ward. I’m so grateful for Brother...
Today was a fun day. We started the morning by going to the Alpine Days parade. One of Ken’s muscle cars he restored (Camero) was in the parade. His neighbor was driving it. I hopped in with in and drove chatted with him as he drove. I can’t believe how much believe LOVED that car. It certainly is a beautiful car, I was just surprised at the peoples’ reaction to it. Rachel made me a cake in the shape of a mouse (computer mouse...
I went to the temple this morning. I didn’t go last week. I used to go every other week, but for the past couple of months I’ve been going weekly. Because it had been two weeks it felt like I hadn’t been in a long time. It was great though. I always enjoy going to the temple and I’m grateful for all the people who sacrifice their time to work there.
Rachel and I went to a wedding reception tonight. It was our former stake president’s son, who we taught in Sunday school when we first moved to the ward. He then served a mission and came home and was in Elders quorum with me. He married a girl that was in the stake. I had seen here around because her ward met in the same building as ours. So while we got to congratulate them we also got to see and visit with a lot of friends from our old...
