I had a productive day today. I could make a list of all the accomplishments I’m proud of. But at the end of the day it just doesn’t seem as if any of it was worth it because Rachel had such a hard day. I’m not exactly sure which prophet coined the term “No success in life can compensate for failure in the home.” I know that is true.

I got home at 6pm today. That may not seem all that great, but given all the overtime I’ve put in lately and the times I have been getting home, I’d was happy to be home at that hour. Also I didn’t anticipate leaving until that time, but I got a lot accomplished today. It felt good to get it done too.

It rained a lot today. This evening it was so beautiful to live this close to the mountains. We watched the clouds roll over the mountains and then rise in the air. It is hard to describe, but amazing to watch.

Today was a day of rest. I brought Nolan & Gehrig home immediately after taking the sacrament. Both were sick and Gehrig was loud and ornery in church. Around noon Nolan was getting tired so he climbed up onto my lap and fell asleep. I can’t think of anything I enjoy more than having my kids cuddling with me like that. We took a break from our bathroom remodel project to have a birthday party for Nolan. We had it at Nani’s house because our house is in such disarray. Nolan had a great time. The theme was from the book Where the Wild Things Are. We are getting pretty close to having the bathroom done. Today we painted, installed the bath/shower fixtures, cleaned to tub and shower, caulked, replaced the trim around the door, and installed a new light fixture....

I went in early this morning so I could get off earlier. I left at 4:30 but didn’t get home until 6:00! It was nice to see how much Rachel & Janel got done on the bathroom. It is really coming along. I made it a point to say good night and spend a little time with the kids tonight.

I got a call from my lawyer this morning. He has reviewed the C&D letters and the patent and feels I have a very good case that I won’t have to change anything. He sent a letter back to Finicity. I was excited to get the ball rolling on this. I didn’t write last night because it was so late. I worked late and when I got home Alex and Aron were here.
