Today was election day. To be honest I’m glad its over. It looks pretty clear that Barack Obama is the new president. I’m pretty dissappointed in that because I don’t like his socialist views and personal affiliations. Rachel is depressed, as are a lot of my friends. Surprisingly, I’m not nervous or scared or anything else. I feel at peace – not that Barack won, or the democrats are taking over the house and senate...
Rachel send the kids outside to play this afternoon. It was pretty chilly. It has rained the past couple days. A little later, she came downstairs and got the camera. Gracie and Gehrig had taken it upon themselves to start cleaning up all the leaves. They were putting them in garbage bags and putting the garbage bags in the back of the truck. We eventually went out and helped them finish the job.
Today was fast Sunday. I fasted for Michael – a young man (19) in our ward. He found out recently that he has colon cancer. He has had 3 siblings die of cancer. It is just in their genes. I can tell he’s been very nervous about it. We encouraged the Elders quorum to fast for him this week. During sacrament meetings fast and & testimony meeting, Michael stood and bore his testimony. He thanked all those who were praying for him....
Today was temple day. I was really looking forward to it. We didn’t got last month because of general conference. My mom has been quite reliable as a baby sitter for us. It’s no easy task for sure. It was nice being in the temple and feeling the Spirit there.
