Sunday in Brigham City

Rachel and I got up at 5:30 this morning. I went to the church around 6 to print off some forms for the Bishop. Our goal was to leave by 7:00 AM to go to Brigham City for Jace’s (Melanie & Tom) baby blessing. We had a hard time getting the kids up. Independence Day 2009

I got a knock on the door at 7 AM this morning. It was Bishop Payne. He came to ask for some help setting up a grill for the ward breakfast. It is a tradition in this area for the bishopric to cook a breakfast for the ward on the 4th of July. It was a really nice event. The boy scouts did a flag ceremony. Fun Day for the Kids

Today Rachel took Gracie and Gehrig to the movies. They went with Nani, Leslie & Brigham. The kids loved it I’m sure. They got to watch it in 3D. Nolan stayed home with me. He played for a while and did well entertaining himself while I continued to work. After about 30-45 minutes I put him down for a nap and we went right to sleep without a fuss. Planning Meals

After I got off work today we went Grocery shopping at Costco and Smiths. Last month I planned a meal (dinner only) for every day of the month. I think it really helped us save money buy buying only what we needed for the meals and using what we bought. It wasn’t perfect of course, but I think a plan executed at 70% is better than no plan at all!
