Camping & Carpet

Yesterday was a long day. We got new carpet in each of the upstairs bedrooms. I got off work a bit early to try to get some furniture put back. We went camping at the Spruces with our friends/neighbors. Between the four couples we had 10 kids under the age of six (Gracie was the oldest). We had a great time. This morning we went for a hike up to Donut Falls. I was surprised at how well Gehrig did on the hike. I had to carry him for a bit on the...

Gehrig = Mini-Me

People often call Gehrig “mini-me” because he looks so much like me. Tonight as I was getting ready to work on tearing our carpet and stuff, Gehrig was following me around “preparing” as well. I took off my flip-flops and put on some shoes and socks – had had to do the same. When it was getting close to their bed time, his shirt had gotten dirty. Rachel asked Gracie to got get him a “pajama shirt”....

Help From the Kids

The past few days have been hectic with our remodeling going on. Tonight I finished the baseboards and caulking. Its fun that the kids want to help me so much. It can be hard because I have to keep an eye on them, otherwise they can make things worse rather than help – especially Gehrig and his curious age. Father & Sons

Yesterday was my birthday. I didn’t get a chance to write, so I’ll play catch up. Rachel, Gracie & Gehrig came to work to surprise me with a Butterfinger milkshake. It was quite a pleasant surprise. This weekend was our ward’s annual father & sons camp out. I invited me dad to come out. It was great. Gehrig kept us laughing all night. He’s quite the funny guy. My dad and I talked all night until I heard him start...

Big News, Good News

A lot happened today. Rachel called around 10:30 this morning because the car battery was dead. I bought some jumper cables and tried to jump it but no luck. I tried with a battery charger and Laura’s (Rachel’s mom) car as well. So finally I had to take the battery out and take it Autozone. They charged it for an hour then tested it. It turned out to be a bad battery, so $100 later and some work under the midday hot sun and we were...

Meeting With the CEO

This morning Scott, the company president/CEO came to our office. He explained some ideas of some venture capital money that might be possible. It eventually turned in to a meeting where John was asking questions about the finances and why we haven’t had a meeting to discuss our finances. It turned in to a long meeting. We probably talked for 2 hours or so. I think that maybe I have heard too much of one side and haven’t given Scott...
