Yesterday was a long day. We got new carpet in each of the upstairs bedrooms. I got off work a bit early to try to get some furniture put back. The past few days have been hectic with our remodeling going on. Tonight I finished the baseboards and caulking. Its fun that the kids want to help me so much. It can be hard because I have to keep an eye on them, otherwise they can make things worse rather than help – especially Gehrig and his curious age. But I still hate to shew them away when they want to help so bad.

Sometimes I do things out of faith and to fulfill my calling to the best of my ability with the hope that what I do helps just one person. It may be rare that I get evidence of that hope, but today, thanks to the tender mercies of the Lord, I got to see that evidence. A lot happened today. Rachel called around 10:30 this morning because the car battery was dead. I bought some jumper cables and tried to jump it but no luck. I tried with a battery charger and Laura’s (Rachel’s mom) car as well. So finally I had to take the battery out and take it Autozone. They charged it for an hour then tested it.
